The churches and organizations engaged in the Food for Life Campaign are repositories of Biblical knowledge and insights that can enrich the entire campaign. The Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance (EAA) wants to encourage the submission of sermons reflecting on food and faith, as a basis for our actions together.
Any member of a church, whether an EAA member or not, is invited to submit an entry. Sermons can be submitted in English, Spanish or French.
The person submitting the top-ranked sermon will have their travel, accommodation and meals covered for up to three days in Geneva to deliver the sermon in a special worship service during the 2011 Churches Week of Action on Food (10-17 October 2011) at the Ecumenical Centre.
Manuscripts and audio recordings (if available) of the sermon must be emailed or postmarked by 30 March 2011. Winners will be notified in June 2011 and announced via email, EAA press release, campaign bulletin and website.
