Toyota Fund for Europe has issued a ‘Call for Project Proposals’ to NGOs in selected countries to submit proposals on its focal areas of environment, road safety and technical education. These focal areas are part of the policy concerns of Toyota. Projects need to have a pan-European focus as well. The projects also have to demonstrate that they are able to leverage resources from other sources as well. Project assistance to NGOs is given for a period of one year only. However, for extended support, NGOs need to submit a renewed proposal. There is no funding limit for providing funds to NGOs, but generally the funds granted by the agency are between €50,000 and €100,000 per year.
The fund is available for NGOs in countries where Toyota operates. These countries include
- Countries from Europe
- Turkey
- Russia and former Soviet Union countries
- Kazakhstan
- Israel
Project proposals are accepted round the year, but there are deadlines fixed during which the funding committee of the agency reviews them and grants the funding. The deadline for the current ‘Call for Project Proposals’ is 2 February 2009. NGOs need to check their eligibility by filling out this form and send it to the agency. The application form can be downloaded from this link. For more infomation, visit this website.
