Dekeyser & Friends Foundation seeks applications from young people who are of legal age in the project country for the Sports Coaching Project to be held in Hamburg, Germany for two months starting April 2012 to learn how you can use sports to engage and empower young people, followed by a ten-months period, during which the fellows will work on their own youth project at home supported by the Foundation.
In the Sports Coaching Project in Hamburg 12 Fellows from various different countries will learn from their Project Friend Jens Lehmann how to use soccer and other sports to engage girls and boys in their home countries. If you are aged between 18 and 28, love sports, enjoy working with children and teenagers and want to help them and their communities by promoting their confidence, self-awareness, tolerance, team-spirit and joy through sports, then you can be the right candidate for this project.
Purpose of the project
Train youth teams in Hamburg in preparation for a tournament, which you will organize and conduct.
Goals
– Gain comprehensive hands-on knowledge of the fundamentals of soccer and other sports coaching, from strategies and first aid to team leadership.
