The Prime Minister of the French Government awards the French Republic’s Human Rights Prize, “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity” for an individual or collective action from any part of the world for work undertaken either in France or in any other country. The award is given under any one of the two themes. These are (1) Freedom of Speech where individuals or collective groups have been working amidst difficult conditions to promote freedom of speech through various mediums (2) Protection of Street Children where actions could be directed towards promoting the rights of the children and raising awareness about their problems at political and economic level.
The Prize carries a total cash of €75,000 to be distributed among five winners. Applications should providing information about the organization, its legal status, its work and other details.
