“This APS supports the foreign assistance priorities of USAID and the U.S. Government. By pursuing opportunities to partner with USAID, development alliances can make important contributions to development and humanitarian objectives in vulnerable countries. This APS supports Agency priorities in food security and global climate change. Missions are addressing these priorities though programs in sectors such as economic growth, agriculture and dairy, water supply and sanitation and global climate change. It also seeks to strengthen civil society to promote transparent and accountable governance. There is a special emphasis, as well, on seeking partnership opportunities that engage underserved populations and communities as primary beneficiaries.”
