The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) has launched a call for proposals 2010-2011 for the Graduate Research Awards on Climate Change and Water under its Adaptation H2O program.
This is part of IDRC’s effort to support research in developing countries to promote growth and development. The Climate Change and Water Program of IDRC helps developing country researchers to understand the consequences of climate change on water resources and to find ways to improve the ability of citizens and governments to adapt to the changing environment.
The purpose of CCW’s Adaptation H2O Graduate Research Awards is to build the research capacity in developing countries by providing awards to graduate students working on subjects related to climate change and water.
There are around seven awards with a maximum value of CAD 15,000 this year to cover field work expenses for selected candidates enrolled in master’s or doctoral program at a Canadian or developing country university.
The deadline to apply is 15 October 2010. For more information, visit this link.
