To apply for the King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement, individuals should be between the ages of 18 and 30 years; they should be citizens of an Arab country; and they should be the founders of an existing project that has 6 months of 3 years of demonstrated social impact within the local community.
There are three main criteria based on which the selection will be made:
Leadership and Innovation:
- The applicant must demonstrate an innovative approach to respond to a need within the community.
- The applicant must have a clearly defined vision and mission for the project.
- The applicant must demonstrate a clear awareness and knowledge of the issues related to the chosen field of activity.
- The applicant must possess and demonstrate leadership qualities including the capacity to inspire and lead others, and a commitment to learn from others.
Collaboration and Partnership:
- The applicant’s work must demonstrate innovative strategies that can generate support for the project.
- The applicant will also be evaluated on the capacity to establish and maintain partnerships.
Impact and Sustainability:
- The applicant must demonstrate the current and potential impact of the project on the community.
- The project should be sustainable and have the potential to expand.
