Mercy Hands for Humanitarian Aid has announced a Small Grants Program to support the Iraqi civil society and encourage local innovative ideas and solutions that tackle local community problems.
Mercy Hands works in conflict torn and disaster affected areas to save lives, sustain human rights and restore a healthy community. Mercy Hands serve people in need, regardless of their religion, sect, ethnicity and/or political affiliation.
Funding available
Mercy Hands will grant $1000 to a youth or community group to implement a humanitarian project that serves the community.
Eligibility Criteria
- Iraqi Community Groups that are not yet registered at the NGOs Directorate.
- Iraqi Youth Groups that are not yet registered at the NGOs Directorate.
- Newly established Iraqi NGOs, which have not been registered at the NGOs Directorate for more than a year.
- The budget of the project should not exceed $1000.
- The project implementation period should not exceed 1 month.
- The grant is allocated to a project and not to the functioning of the group itself.
- Projects with a religious objective are not eligible under the program.
