Oxfam in West Africa is inviting tenders from qualified research teams interested in a new ambitious and innovating research project aimed at « building a gender sensitive approach to food crises vulnerability and resilience among Sahel population: lessons from the 2012 crisis in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger”.
The purpose of this research is to provide insight about the links between vulnerability to the food crisis and women and men differential access, control and ownership of resources within households and communities. The research will also look at both short term and long term interventions which can contribute to women’s and men’s food security and resilience as well as lead to transformational changes in gender dynamics in the region.
The research will take place during the first trimester of 2013, and will start by end of January.
