The Global Health Council is seeking nominations for the Best Practices in Global Health Award which will be awarded to an organization or individual working to improve the health of the poor. The Award will be given at the 2011 Annual International Conference on “Securing a Healthier Future in a Changing World” from 13 to 17 June, 2011 to be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The Best Practices in Global Health Award is given annually to celebrate and highlight the efforts of a public health practitioner or organization dedicated to improving the health of poor and at-risk populations. The Award focuses on programs and implementers with measurable evidence of success. In addition to emphasizing health, the Award provides the opportunity to demonstrate the link between health, poverty and development.
