US-based international nonprofits have an opportunity to submit applications under the US State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor’s Call for Proposals to implement projects for the promotion of human rights and democracy in Egypt. Only US-based NGOs (which have a registered nonprofit status). Project approaches will primary involve building the capacity of the civil society in Egypt, enhancing the participation of youth and women in politics and support free and fair elections. Local NGOs in Egypt have an opportunity to collaborate with international US-based organizations to submit joint proposals under this call. The budget allocated for each selected applicant is between US $300,000 to $1,000,000. There is a specific project format available based on which the proposals have to be submitted.
