The ACP Observatory on Migration and the Southern African Migration Program (SAMP) have announced a Call for Proposals for a study on ‘The Remittances Framework in Lesotho: Assessment of Polices and Programmes Promoting the Multiplier Effects’.
With the assistance of SAMP, the ACP Observatory is commissioning a study examining the policy and programmatic framework regarding South-South remittance transfers in the Kingdom of Lesotho, in accordance with its research plan. A researcher or research team will be selected through a Call for Proposals to undertake the research activities. The selected researcher(s) will be trained by SAMP senior experts on methodological issues and thus enhance their research capacities. The main outcome of the study will consist in a set of key recommendations suggesting policy interventions which facilitate the inflows of remittances through regular channels and promote positive impacts of remittances on the development of Lesotho.
This activity is expected to last a maximum of 3 months in Lesotho.
