Academics from developing countries can apply for small grants available from ILO’s Microinsurance Innovation Facility to undertake research in microinsurance. The second round of research grants is now open and accepting applications. It is developed in partnership with the European Development Research Network and mainly focused on developing countries only.
Researchers need to justify in their proposals that their research would contribute to new knowledge for the promotion and practice of microinsurance in developing countries. A cover sheet needs to be completed and then a full proposal can be submitted based on the application form available. The last date to apply for this grant is 30 October 2009.
