SEED Initiative, a global partnership for action on sustainable development and the green economy, is accepting applications for SEED Awards 2014. The award is open for innovative ideas from any enterprise in a developing country or country in transition, which is working in partnership with others to generate economic, environmental and social benefits.

- SEED Gender Equality Awards – 3
What is the Prize?
The recipients are awarded the access to knowledge, expertise and networks. They receive a package of individually tailored support for their enterprises.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Proposals must demonstrate entrepreneurship and innovation; and deliver economic, social and environmental benefits.
- Proposed projects must have intention and potential to become financially sustainable.
- Proposed project must be a partnership between different stakeholder groups.
- Proposed project must be locally driven or locally led.
- Project must have potential for scale up or significant replication.
- The project must be in the early stages of implementation.
- Project must be in a country with a developing or emerging economy.
For SEED Low Carbon Awards, the project must make significant contributions to mitigating and/or adapting to climate change.
For SEED Gender Equality Award, the project must be run or owned by a woman or women and prioritize gender equality and/or women’s empowerment as a core objective.
