The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is providing small grants through its Research Fellowship Program (RFP) with the purpose of building “capacity for the next generation of conservationists by supporting individual field research projects that have a clear application to the conservation of threatened wildlife and wild places.”
The 2010 RFP is focused on supporting projects which directly address the following conservation priorities of WCS:
- WCS’s priority land/seascapes
- WCS Global Priority and Recovery Species
- WCS Global Conservation Challenges
WCS seeks projects that are based on sound and innovative conservation science and that encourage conservation practices that can contribute to sustainable development.
The maximum amount of grant award given is $20,000. The deadline to apply for program is 5 January 2011. For more information, visit this link.
