The Charitable Foundation (TCF) is an Australian family foundation dedicated to help eradicate poverty and conflict through humanitarian relief, development assistance and the pursuit of peace. With the partnership of diverse group of non-governmental organizations, the foundation has delivered a broad range of timely, practical, sustainable and cost-efficient projects.
By now, TCF has granted 2.7 million to livelihood projects in Africa and South East Asia.
TCF addresses poverty globally through Peace, Research and Reconciliation Projects and Emergency Relief, and overseas development projects mainly in Eastern Africa and South East Asia.

Past Projects
- In 2012, TCF awarded Excellent Development a five year grant, supporting six self-help groups in rural southeast Kenya to achieve water and food security. These self-help groups are building 18 sand dams, which will bring an urgently needed improved source of water close to 3,000 people’s homes. A further 26,000 people in the surrounding communities will also benefit from improved access to a sustainable supply of water.
- TCF in partnership with Habitat for Humanity in Cambodia has been supporting housing loans to poor people in the settlements outside Phnom Penh & Nepal implementing a Community Development Project around the Save and Build scheme.
- TCF in partnership with Africa Water Bank and 10 communities in Pokot County, Kenya is building ten rainwater harvesting systems for the communities and people in Africa who do not have access to clean water.
