About The M.A.C AIDS Fund:
The M.A.C. AIDS Fund is the foundation of MAC Cosmetics. Established in 1994, the Fund supports innovative programs dealing directly with individuals with HIV/AIDS. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of MAC Cosmetics’ products goes directly to the Fund.

The mission of the M.A.C. AIDS Fund is serving people of all ages, races, and sexes who are affected by HIV/AIDS.

- The M.A.C. AIDS Fund will be focusing on the following programs:
- North American Programs: Focusing on the link between HIV/AIDS and poverty.
- International Programs: Focusing on the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Caribbean and South Africa.
- International Affiliate Community Grants Program: Supporting programs that provide services to those with HIV/AIDS around the world.
- Special Initiatives: Support programs worldwide the focus on areas related to fighting HIV/AIDS.

- How to apply for grants:
- Applying for International Affiliate Community Grants:
- Organizations can apply for an International Affiliate Community Grant once a year that can be submitted at anytime.
- Organizations located in countries where VIVA GLAM is sold are eligible to apply. A list of countries is located on the Funds’ website.
- The organization must be recognized as a charitable organization by the local government, is currently providing services to those who have HIV/AIDS, and must have been in operation at least three years.
- Applications are only accepted online and in English.
- Grants range from $25,000 to $75,000 (US dollars).
- Budget information must be provided in U.S. dollars.
- The M.A.C. AIDS Fund usually funds no more than 20% of the proposed project.
- The organization must have other public or private funding sources available for its use.
- Grant criteria include: the organization’s general operating budget, the number of clients served, how prevalent HIV/AIDS is in the target community, size of program, proven effectiveness of the program, and how likely the program will continue in the future.
- Successful proposals have strong outcomes measurements and program evaluation components.
