Looxcie, makers of the first wearable mobile-connected video cam, presents its Citizen Journalist Program designed to offer support to independent reporters and video bloggers and to encourage greater citizen participation in reporting.
The program seeks to identify a select group of Citizen Journalists reporting on news at a community or grass roots level and equip them with tools– Looxcie cam and Looxcie apps – to make their reporting and sharing more efficient and effective. Once selected to be a part of the Looxcie Press Corps, Looxcie will provide each reporter with the award-winning Looxcie cam, our apps and accessories so that they may use these tools and services in their reporting. Looxcie will benefit from being tagged and occasionally referenced in the videos, blog posts, and tweets by this group and they in turn will receive promotional support from Looxcie on the Looxcie website.
