Broadcast managers working in senior program and/or editorial management in state, public, private or commercial media. Applicants are expected to have at least three years experience of working for a broadcast organization and should be currently working in senior management are invited to apply for the short course entitled Broadcast Management to be held from 1-12 June 2015.
On completing the course, participants will become familiar with analyzing broader organizational and media environment and their effect on management policy and decision making; editorial and financial management; trends in media innovation and their role in improving the quality and creativity of journalistic and program output, and on motivating and developing staff. Knowledge of effective staff recruitment and improved staff performance through systematic staff appraisal and training/coaching; and insight on the contributions they can make to organizational development.
Participants who successfully complete the course (sessions and assignments) will receive an RNTC certificate and become alumni.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a senior broadcast manager in senior programs/editorial management with at least three years of experience in broadcast journalism.
- Applicants must be using computers and have good computer skills.
- Applications must be accompanied with a motivation (150-200 words) in English explaining their interest in the course.
