More Details: For over 10 years, I have worked to support needy people and the under previllaged, as such I pioneer the foundation of Kagoma Community Based Organisation (KACOBA)
KACOBA’s main objective is to mobilise communities into self help economic activities like those that can increase house hold incomes; tackling at least three indicators of poverty (ill health, lack of education/technical skills and food shortage).
The current activities include though not limited to: Community Based Health Care which serves among others HIV/AIDS orphaned Children, self help income generation, Vocational training, Education For the Girls, support to the disabled. We also promote, community Based agricultural Initiatives.
Poverty is ‘‘a condition of life so characterized by malnutrition, ignorance and disease, so as to be beneath any reasonable definition of human decency’’. The three indicators of poverty as in the above definition are evident in many Ugandan communities and therefore KACOBA aims at contributing to their reduction.
