1.1 Purpose
The purpose of the Personnel Policy is to set down the policies, conditions, rights and obligations of NGO employees subject to their performing of the duties and responsibilities in their respective job descriptions.
From the time of hiring, each employee will have access to this policy, so that he/she can adhere to it with full knowledge and information.
The policies described below may at any time be subject to modification if the Board of Members of the NGO deems it necessary. In such cases, employees will be fully informed of the changes made.
1.2 Categories of Personnel
All personnel working for NGOs are classified into the following types
1.2.1. Executive Management
Definition: This group comprises the highest level of leadership in the organization, responsible for making strategic decisions and steering the organization toward its goals.
Examples:
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
- Chief Operating Officer (COO)
- Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Chief Information Officer (CIO)
- Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
1.2.2. Middle Management
Definition: Middle managers act as a bridge between the executive management and the operational staff. They implement policies, manage teams, and oversee day-to-day operations within their departments.
Examples:
- Department Managers
- Project Managers
- Division Heads
- Branch Managers
1.2.3. Operational Staff
Definition: These personnel are responsible for the core activities that drive the organization. They perform the tasks and duties essential for the organization’s functioning.
Examples:
- Accountants
- Field Workers
1.3.4. Administrative and Support Staff
Definition: This category includes personnel who provide essential support services that enable the organization to function smoothly. They handle various administrative tasks and support other departments.
Examples:
- Administrative Assistants
- Receptionists
- Office Managers
- IT Support Staff
