United Nations Non government Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) is currently inviting civil society representatives to share their story of successful local climate action to help inspire the world to find a more sustainable path, enabling economic opportunity, equality, and a healthy environment for all.

- One speaker for the Opening Ceremony:
- The President of the General Assembly requests candidates to be young and from a developing country for this key speaking role. This is an opportunity to tell Member States, Government Ministers, high-level participants, and other representatives about how you are succeeding in taking climate action.
- Travel funding will be provided for this speaker and a supporter if the candidate is under 18.
- One respondent for Panel Discussion 1:
- Mobilizing political momentum for ambitious actions on mitigation, adaptation and means of implementation
- Applicants must be representatives of civil society organizations with expertise in this topic.
- Travel funding is not available for this speaking role.
- One respondent for Panel Discussion 2:
- Mobilizing stakeholders for ambitious actions on mitigation, adaptation and means of implementation
- Applicants must be representatives of civil society organizations with expertise in this topic.

Eligibility Criteria
Before submitting a nomination, please confirm that the candidate meets all of the following criteria:
- Applicant must be a representative of a civil society organization, and officially authorized by their organization/network to speak on the organization/network’s behalf;
- Applicant can address the relevant topics and guiding questions in the event concept note;
- Applicants have demonstrated ability to engage constructively with a variety of stakeholders;
- Applicants would be a compelling public speaker;
- Applicant must be available to be in New York on 28-29 June 2015 and for travel if necessary.
- Applicant must have a visa for travel to New York, or is able to obtain one within 2 weeks for travel to New York.
- Applicant must work or volunteer for a civil society organization.
- Applicant must officially authorized by the organization/network that you work or volunteer for to represent that organization/network.
- Applicant must be able and available to comply with all of the TORs for the Selection Committee.
- Applicant must have excellent competency with the issues outlined in the event information at the link above, experience with presenting such issues in public, and demonstrated ability to engage constructively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Applicant must be proficient in English speaking.
