The Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies seeks to appoint a part-time Teaching Fellow in Modern Hebrew Language at beginners and lower intermediate levels, as part of its Modern Hebrew Language programme. This is a seasonal appointment funded from 17 September 2012 to 14 June 2013.
The post will entail 9 weekly hours of class teaching and tutorials plus preparation and marking. The postholder must undertake to carry out other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the Hebrew Language Coordinator.
Key Requirements:
- The successful candidate will have native speaker competence in Hebrew and hold a Teachers’ Training College Certificate or equivalent
- Teaching experience in oral and written Hebrew at undergraduate level in the UK Higher Education system or Israeli schools/Ulpanim is essential.
- The post holder will have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Good IT knowledge is essential.
