What’s up Youth “WupY” invites applications from interested parties willing to serve as international and local partners and sponsors for Culture of Peace Campaign / International Day of Peace 2011 being launched by ‘WupY’. All the partners will be able to celebrate these events with other people from different parts of the world by organising various activities under theme “Peace, Love & Humanity”.
Partners and Sponsors
Each year, events take place all around the world for the International Day of Peace. Every Peace Day event provides an opportunity to inspire individuals and empower communities to celebrate victories for peace that have been won throughout the year. A Peace Day event can be as simple as lighting a candle or meditate on Peace on September 21, or it can be as complex as organizing a Peace Concert for thousands of people
Partners Roles and Responsibilities
To ensure that the campaign runs smoothly, WupY requires all partners to agree to the principles of good partnership practice set out below:
– All partners must have read more about the last year’s campaigns and understand what their respective obligations during the campaign will be if the application is accepted.
– This campaign is zero budget initiative depends on in-kind resources and partnership to achieve its activities.
– All partners should check on possible ways for securing funds, partnership or in-kind resources for the local activities during the campaign, local promotion, etc.
– All partners must promote the campaign to the organization’s members and youth networks.
