The RMIT University Australia is inviting international candidates to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarship (VCPS). Individuals commencing research doctoral degree from 1 January 2015 should first apply for a research place at RMIT and complete the local and international off-shore VCPS cover sheet to be considered for selection.
Total 10 awardees will be selected for three years full-time scholarship from international and local applicants.
Benefits to scholarship recipients
- $41,150 per annum pro rata (full-time study) stipend.
- $5,000 per annum research support allowance
- $10,000 HDR publication award (payable on thesis submission)
- Up to $1540 relocation allowance for the cost of relocating in order to take up their postgraduate research program (up to $515 per adult and $255 per child)
- up to $840 Thesis allowance for the cost of producing a thesis/appropriate durable record
- Paid sick, maternity and parenting leave (within the limits of the Scholarship Guidelines)
The international candidates also receive tuition fees and student services and amenities fee (SSAF) and the cost of an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be international candidate or an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
- Applicants must have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honors, or have demonstrated an equivalent level of academic attainment as determined by RMIT.
- Applicants must have applied for a full-time PhD program at RMIT.
