King’s College of London is pleased to invite applications for Economic & Social Research Council Postgraduate funding 2013.
Eligibility–
- Be due to commence a full-time or part-time MPhil/PhD degree programme at King’s College London during 2013/14, OR, be currently in the first year of an MPhil/PhD programme at King’s College London
- Be eligible for home/EU tuition fees only, and meet the ESRC’s residency eligibility criteria
- Plan to, or currently be, undertaking a research project within one of the 15 KISS-DTC research themes
- Complete and submit the required application documentation by the funding deadline
- Fulfill the relevant academic entry requirements set by King’s College London
Studentships will be available to students wishing to undertake an MPhil/PhD research degree programme within one of the following 15 KISS-DTC research theme panels-
- Genes, Environment & Public Health (GEP)
- Health Practices & Understandings (HPU)
- Health Policy, Effectiveness & Evaluation (HPE)
- Regulation, Governance & Ethics (RGE)
- Work & Organisations (W&O)
- Markets, Firms, & Competitiveness (MFC)
- Education & Lifelong Learning (ELL)
- Urbanisation, Globalisation and Social Change (UGS)
- Exclusion, Discrimination and Stigma (EDS)
- Language, Media & Culture (LMC)
- Religion & Society (RS)
- Political Ecology & Environmental Health (PEH)
- Development, Health & Human Security (DHS)
- International Law, Violence & Global Order (ILV)
- Military & Regional Security (MRS)
Important Note–
- Students who will pay tuition fees at the international/overseas (higher) rate are not eligible
- Students who have already undertaken more than 1 year of their full-time research degree programme (or more than 2 years part-time) are not eligible
- Professional doctorate degrees are not eligible
- Distance learning programmes are not eligible
- Applicants who have already been awarded a PhD or equivalent degree are not eligible
