Europe Aid is inviting proposals on ‘EIDHR CBSS and Neighborhood Civil Society Facility’ Azerbaijan Grant opportunity for the year 2014. The major purpose of the grant opportunity is to contribute in strengthening the role played by the civil society in Azerbaijan in promoting human rights and democratic reform, and to increase civic participation and representation.
The action should be from 12 months up to 36 months long. Total budget allocated for the action is €2,900,000.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be a legal person (or an entity without legal personality), non-profit making non-governmental organizations, and international (intergovernmental) organizations as defined by Article 43 of the Implementing Rules to the EC Financial Regulation.
- Applicant must be established in a member state of the EU or Azerbaijan or an accession or official candidate country as recognized by the EU or a member state of EEA (this obligation does not apply to international organizations).
- Applicants must operate in partnership with at least one local partner, preferably from the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies).
- Proposed action must take place in Azerbaijan.
