Europe Aid is inviting proposals for ‘Investing in People (Development Cooperation Instrument) Supporting Public Health Institutions’ Action Grant Project 2014. The main objective of the grant project is to contribute to the protection and promotion of the population’s health through the provision of policy analysis and policy advice.
Projects that enhance expertise, knowledge and resources of selected schools of public health, public health research, training or support low-income countries to provide national health authorities and stakeholders with evidence-based and locally adapted policy, advice and other support to make decisions and policies and to monitor at national or sub-national level are highly encouraged to apply for the grant program.
Total allocated budget for Investing in People (Development Cooperation Instrument) Supporting Public Health Institutions Program is €23,000,000. Each project should be in between 48 to 60 months long.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be non-profit making, legal persons from non-governmental organizations, public or semi-public or private not-for-profit sector operators or local authorities.
- Applicants must have at least five years of experience in Public Health sector and must have acquired a demonstrative national- and/or international-level recognition for this work.
- Applicants must be established in a member state of the European Union, or a developing country as specified by the OECD/DAC list or a European Economic Area (EEA) member state or an official EU Candidate country.
- Applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
