The International Visegrad Fund and Open Society Archivum Budapest is seeking applications for research fellowships at the Central European University in Budapest. The scholarship of €2,000 is designed to provide access to the archives for scholars, artists, and journalists, and to cover travel to and from Budapest, a modest subsitence, and accommodation for a research period of two months. Scholarships for shorter periods are prorated.
Research Topics-
- Welfare policies in Soviet-type societies
- Social solidarity or possible explanations of the lack of it under socialism
- Ideological and cultural aspirations (and their roots) of antiregime movements in Soviet type societies
- Documenting human rights violations in order to aid reconciliation in post-conflict societies.
Eligibility & Criteria-
The fellowships will be given on a competitive basis to scholars/artists/journalists who wish to conduct research at OSA, and whose current research projects are relevant to the holdings and the given research priorities of the Fund and the Archivum.
