This year, US and European charitable foundations will fund nonprofits by an estimated US$75 billion or more. Official development assistance from government donors is also expected to surpass its 2010 historic high of nearly US$129 billion.
A large slice of this multi-billion dollar pie is doled out through a competitive application process, not unlike the World Challenge 2011. There are barriers that prevent organisations from successfully vying for these funds. First, announcements of funding competitions are fragmented all over the web and difficult to identify. Second, competition is strong and the application process arduous. How can organisations spend less time fundraising and more time running programmes?
