Women play a critical role in agriculture—contributing significantly to food production, processing, and marketing—yet they face persistent barriers that limit their productivity and income. Limited access to quality seeds, fertilizers, land, credit, and markets keeps many women farmers trapped in subsistence-level farming.
Enhancing women’s access to agricultural inputs and linking them to profitable markets can substantially improve household income, food security, and gender equality. This project aims to address gender disparities in agriculture by building women’s capacity, improving access to productive resources, and strengthening their participation in agricultural value chains.
The initiative supports SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by empowering women as key agents of rural economic transformation.

- Partnerships with agribusiness companies and local markets will ensure continued buyer engagement.
- Local agricultural extension officers will provide ongoing technical support.
- Women farmers will be encouraged to adopt digital marketing and record-keeping systems for enterprise growth.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Monitoring will track both quantitative and qualitative progress. Key indicators will include:
- Number of women trained and accessing agricultural inputs.
- Volume of produce sold through organized market linkages.
- Increase in household income and food security levels.
- Functionality of women’s cooperatives after project completion.
Quarterly reports, beneficiary feedback, and participatory evaluation will guide adaptive management and ensure accountability.
