This proposal seeks funding to launch “Breaking Barriers,” a community-based program designed to expand mental health access in underserved communities. The project will provide accessible mental health services, including counseling, support groups, and mental health education, using mobile clinics, community outreach, and digital platforms. Our goal is to improve mental health outcomes for 5,000 individuals over the next two years.
Problem Statement
Underserved communities face significant barriers to accessing mental health care, including stigma, lack of providers, financial constraints, and limited awareness of available resources. These barriers contribute to untreated mental health conditions, resulting in higher rates of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide. Addressing these gaps is crucial for improving the overall well-being of these communities.
