The mission of the project is to Bring hope to communities, women, youths and orphan girls’ child, vulnerable children and enabling them to attain improved quality water, obtain income generating project, Agricultural equipment’s and standard of living with the project objectives like to look for a way of provide Rain Water Harvesting Tanks to the community , education support and fight against community gender violence, community sensitization on water project, local council By law, food, medical support that meet the physical needs of the community and foster families by providing agricultural and other basic needs of life.
Organisational Background
XXX was founded in xxxx and its head office is located in the Republic of Uganda. It was established to focus on holistic needs of women and orphan children in Northern Uganda. It aims to lobby, start many social economic programs including education support to women and orphans, HIV/AIDS affected persons and holding income generating project to support women’s’ education at large and girl’s child discipleship, girl’s child friendly environment and campaigns.
Background and Problem Statement of the Project
As indicated by the statement on the challenges XXX in Northern Uganda has gone through, one of the most unlucky people categories in Uganda population, which has been affected greatly, are the XXX and their properties. There are many vulnerable women and children who are at risk, which include orphans, street girls and displaced girls’ children.
It is with this background that XXX was launched to bring change and offer community and orphan protection and more especially in difficult circumstances. The project takes advantage of the cultural practices of women in water collection, which is community problems, based with a focus on the extended programs.
Target Beneficiaries
XXX is to provide support to an estimated millions of people initially as they were largely suffered during XXX rebel abduction.
However, the number of community and programs will be increased as need arises and resources allow.

Objectives
The objectives for which XXX has been established are as stated below: –

- To look for a way of provide Rain Water Harvesting Tanks to the community of Lang sub-region, education support and fight against community gender violence, community sensitization on water project, local council Bylaw, food, medical support that meet the physical needs of the community and foster families by providing agricultural and other basic needs of life.
- To promote the spiritual nourishment and wellbeing of the women in the community by constructing rain water harvesting tanks.
- To establish and give support to issues that affect community, operational scheme and give full education support opportunities to girls’ child, vulnerable children, and widows.
- To empower water programs and foster girls’ child headed families with resources that will enable them engage in income generating activities for self-reliant living as a way of overcoming violence in the community as a result water problem.
- To offer career guidance, counseling services, HIV/AIDS positive people and direct, advised them at all levels in matters relating to choose of career, vocation, water programs.
- To promote community-based health water care and guidance, services to community with water trauma in order to enable them cope up with the emotions.
- To conduct community water sensitization and on their rights and make available water local language literature, set up moderate aptitude drama selection in order to identify the rightful way of fighting shortage of water in the community.
- To enhance water and environmental sanitation facilities through support from donor/sponsors within the school compound and communities where women and children are originated and live by constructing rain water tanks in homes with permanent structures that can accommodate the nearby families at the capacity of 30.000 liters of water for three families.
- To establish donor support and run community Skills Training programs in order for them to compete in the market – oriented skills.
Project Strategy
In order for the objectives of the XX to be implemented the Board of Directors for XX has designed the following strategy: –
- Resource Mobilization
The planned activities of the XX can be achieved when various resources are obtained. The Board focuses on the following:
- Human resource: The XX needs to be run by qualified staff that possesses skills and talents, which are useful for the XX. The staff needed include Program officer, social workers, health workers, church leaders, officers, cleaners, cooks and watchmen.
In building construction of the XX, there is need for masons, architects, painters and decorators. The Board have made a plan to recruit the personnel at different stages when need arises and resources are obtained.
- Money: The Board needs to raise the necessary funding in different ways in order for this project to take off.
- Materials: The Project requires a variety of materials including, income generating project, fund for supporting orphan children education, agricultural equipment, building materials such as cement, sand, stones, timber, water, metal pieces, and iron sheets. There is need for training materials and craft raw materials.
- Equipment: The XX requires equipment ranging from that used in building construction works, trees, office, and kitchen for cooking and compound cleaning, Vocational skills training tools and for workshop use.
Land: The construction and eventual establishment of the XX requires a sizeable piece of land as memories of the people killed. That is on addition to the already acquire piece of land, that is purposely for future expansion.
The Board has designed a schedule of activities to include management meetings, staff recruitment, contracting engineers, constructions, recruitment of women who will benefit from the XX programs, designing training manuals for vocational skills training scheme, finally monitoring and evaluation of the XX programs.
Justification
The Board is justified to establish and operate XX because of the following: –

- There is a pressing need for rain water harvesting tanks support in the community so that gender violence, HIV/AIDS and devoice as well as a result of collecting water from very far.
- There is favorable peaceful community environment
- The government policy encourages NGO intervention mechanisms of voluntary organizations.
- There is open support by local and international communities on community projects.
Feasibility
The XX activities are feasible because:

- There are hundreds of people and vulnerable people within the community of xxxx.
- There are people with qualifications and skills required by the XX.
- The Board has identified sources of funding and hopes to continue with fundraising activities throughout income generating project.
- The building materials are available within the area
- The required equipment can be obtained within the country at favorable costs.
- The infrastructure favors the project since there is heavy rain in the region, and accessible road.
Sustainability
The Board hopes to sustain the activities of the XX through:

- Continued staff development through training and retraining.
- Continued resource mobilization using different strategies including membership and subscriptions, grants, donations, Income generating project, charges on services offered by the XX
Monitoring and Evaluation
The Board hopes to carry out monitoring and evaluation of the activities of the XX as follows: –

- Internal Monitoring and Evaluation.
- The staff working in different positions will monitor and evaluate the XXX activities on day – to – day basis and will submit activity reports to the Program Officer.
- The Program Officer will receive monthly reports from staff under him.
- He will compile and submit monthly reports to the Executive Director of the organization.
- The Executive Director will submit quarterly activity and financial reports to the Board of Directors.
- The Board of Directors will cause the writing of annual activities reports and audited accounts.
- External Monitoring and Evaluation.
- The Board plans to hire independent persons with expertise in management skills to carry out an evaluation exercise. This will give outsiders opinion in the programs of the XX. The evaluation report may give recommendations for improvement of the programs of the XX
- The external partners/donors will carry out monitoring and evaluation annual at a time convenient for them. This will be in addition to quarterly and other regular reports
