This proposal aims to expand access to quality education for girls with disabilities by addressing physical, social, and systemic barriers that limit their opportunities to learn and thrive. The program will focus on creating inclusive learning environments, providing tailored educational resources, training educators, and raising community awareness. By implementing these strategies, we aim to empower girls with disabilities, improve their educational outcomes, and promote equity and inclusion within the education system.
Background and Rationale:
Girls with disabilities face significant barriers to education, including inaccessible school infrastructure, lack of inclusive teaching materials, social stigma, and inadequate support from educators and peers. These challenges result in lower enrollment, retention, and completion rates among girls with disabilities compared to their non-disabled peers. Expanding access to education for girls with disabilities is essential to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential and contribute to their community’s development.
