EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Implications on Globally, lack of accessible and affordable sanitary-ware has been known to have far reaching the social, psychological and physical health of teenage girls and young women. In fact, lack of sanitary pads has been proven to be a major determinant in achieving gender parity in Africa.
XXXXXX: Is a non – profit organization which donates sanitary pads, knickers and toiletries to all adolescent girls in school living in the refugee camps and rural areas in order to enable them attend school even during periods.

Our vision is to Enhance Girls Life and promote the legal health, Education and Economic Rights in the East Africa and Africa at large.
MISSION
Our mission is to provide sanitary pads., knickers, and toiletries to improve on Reproductive health information and support them by providing Education Scholarship for the school going girls, and boys living in the refugee settlements in different region in East Africa and Africa at Large.
Overall, this pilot project proposal focuses on the provision of sanitary pads for school going girls and young women those living in refugees in Africa, the project will first be focused in Refugee camp in Uganda, were the largest population occurs in Africa to achieve the following results:

- minimize the number of days girls missed going to school,
- create socio-economic acceptance of the innovated product,
- Develop sanitary pads for
- Creating awareness about the menstruation cycles to reduce on the early teen pregnancies
The project period is1 year, starting January, 2019 and ending in December 31st 2019
Thus, we also propose to produce sanitary Pads using a low-cost machine aimed at improving hygiene and eco-friendly usage by underprivileged women and adolescent girls in refugee camps mainly focusing on refugee camp and hence in Africa. This idea is quite unique in terms of our low-cost mini sanitary pads making machine compared to the traditional production model which requires large investments, yet the quality of the result product is the same.
The project will also have an impact on health status of girls through improvement in the health status and personal hygiene of the girls as a result of using these Pads regularly.
The proposed budget is xxxxx period one year.
TARGET POPULATION
The primary target audience is young girls in the age group of 8 to 20 years within Africa Refugee Settlement. The organization will start with XXXXX is a refugee camp in northwestern Uganda. With over 270,000 South Sudanese refugees fleeing the ongoing civil war, as of early July 2016 it is the largest refugee settlement in the world. XXXXXXXX covers 250 square kilometers of the eastern half of the district of Yumbe, stretching southward from the South Sudanese border camp in Uganda other /Uganda spilling over into Mayo District along the western bank of the Kochi River. XXXXXXXX Organization aims to provide sanitary pads and knickers to the female students in the primary and secondary schools students living within the refugee camp as its first phase of the project. The project targets 1,000 girls in the refugee camps.
The xxxxxx organization will also educate the boy child through providing them with coolest materials. and building game parks for entertainment to reduce the sex immorality to the all children and students living in the refugee’s camps and rural areas in Uganda and other communities
PROJECT OBJECTIVES AND METHOD
The project aims to purchase sanitary pads that are produced in Uganda/Africa for all female primary and secondary school students in XXXXX refugee camp and part of Africa. These sanitary pads are made from natural and chemical free materials and are usable for about a year. Moreover, we will also provide the girls with knickers, which is 100% cotton. We will supply a pack that containing 3 reusable sanitary pads, 3 pairs of knickers and 3 Toiletries per girl.
XXXXXXXX Organization will distribute all pads and knickers and Toiletries to the primary and secondary school students within the camps. Selected members of Girl life line organization will deliver the pads and Knickers and Toiletries to the girls at each school. These members will meet with the director of the camp and together with other staff will distribute the pads.
XXXXXXXX Organization will organize training and question-and-answer sessions in each of the schools at the start, middle, and end of the project. At the start of the project, XXXXXXXX Organization members, female teachers and nurses discuss the sanitary pads and concurrent problems encountered by girls.
The organization will also promote justice of the girl child rights through all possible ways that is seminars, workshops, and websites among others.
The organization also organizes and distributes Pads, Knickers and toiletries to girls in the Refugee camp.
The organization will also obtain Scholarships for the girls and funds economic development of the organization projects from funder and donors.
The organization will also work together with other judiciary organs, NGOs, CBOs and other organizations both public and private for the girl’s rights.

LONG TERM GOAL
The objectives above will, in the long-term, aim at achieving the following main goals:
The organization will build factory to train the parents so that they will enable to make their own local and clothes for the people living in the refugee camps and rural area
The organization will also provide school materials to both boys a girl to keep the at school

- Goal 1: Girls will not have to miss school simply because they are menstruating.
- Goal 2: Girls will know that they can discuss problems connected to menstruation, with health extension workers, other healthcare professionals who may be available, as well as teachers – male or female.
- Goal 3: Girl life line Organization will learn from this pilot project and be able to plan and improve projects further to ensure female students do not miss school just because they are menstruating. The future projects will not only be to give sanitary pads to the girls in schools in XXXXXX refugee camp but also in other locations in and outside of the camp. XXXXXXXX Organization will also be able to advise others on implementing similar projects.
PROJECT PLAN

- The organization is planning to building a game parks for entertainment. to reduce on the sexual immorality in both boy child and Girl When there is no entertainment there is always high sexual immorality, XXXXXXXX organization is planning to improve on that sector
- The organization is also planning to build a medical center around the near able district to cater for the refugee’s people and other communities to improve on their health especial for the diseases like HIV and Aids, hepatitis B and other sexual disease, malaria. tuberculosis (TB), cholera and other common diseases, the center will also employ some of the students who are willing to do nursing and other work.
- XXXX organization is planning to build factory shop to train the women and been able to make their own local pads and clothes for the children and the rest of the people at the refugee’s camps and rural areas in Uganda different communities, to employ both women and men, so that they will able to support them self not to wait for support from other organization or NGOS
PROJECT TIMELINE
The project will commence on January, 2019 and the delivery of the sanitary pads will be completed by December 31, 2019 (12 months). Female students in the primary and secondary schools of XXXXXX refugee camp in Uganda and other countries in Africa will at that time be provided with sanitary pads for years.

The project will have an impact on the health status on girls through improvement in the health status and personal hygiene of the Girls using these pads

MONITORING AND EVALUATION PLAN
Monitoring of projects implementation will be conducted from three levels, and XXXXXXXX Organization will utilize agreed upon, monitoring system tools and indicators. Monitoring at community level will entail the community members themselves, girls, school administrators, parents and teachers. The project aims for an efficient, cost-effective way to make sure that the monitoring is relevant, and not too much or too few data are being collected. Therefore, at the start simple, operational, measurable indicators will be formulated.
As much as possible the monitoring will be undertaken by Project Steering Committee as part of their daily/weekly/monthly routine, in order to notice changes or deviations from the expected. Mid-term internal review exercise will be conducted, taking into account the findings of the monthly monitoring by officers from XXXXXXXX Organization. The focus of this exercise will be to check on the implementation of the projects planned and any challenges faced in the process; the amount of money spent against time schedules; as well as providing technical input where necessary. An internal and external terminal evaluation will be conducted at the end of the project to assess progress, impact and note changes, and achievements and draw lessons. XXXXXXXX Organization will organize for an internal evaluation of this project two times throughout the project period.
