Collaborating with writers, illustrators, and publishers from a variety of backgrounds to develop and popularize diverse characters and tales in order to boost the representation of underrepresented communities in children’s literature.

By highlighting the diversity and depth of cultures, traditions, and experiences through books that include characters from different ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds, we hope to promote cultural understanding and empathy among young readers.

To provide support and resources for emerging diverse authors and illustrators, enabling them to break into the children’s literature industry and share their unique perspectives and stories.
