The expected outcomes of this proposal are as follows:
- A framework for the integration of IoT sensors and AI algorithms into farming processes, which can be adapted and replicated by farmers and other stakeholders.
- A demonstration of the economic, environmental, and social benefits of smart farming solutions, including improvements in crop yields, reductions in waste and resource use, and impacts on farmer livelihoods.
- Increased awareness and understanding of the potential of IoT and AI technologies for smart farming solutions among farmers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
- Increased adoption of IoT and AI technologies in agriculture, leading to more sustainable and efficient farming practices and improved food security.
- Increased capacity of farmers and other stakeholders to use IoT and AI technologies in agriculture, including installation and maintenance of IoT sensors and interpretation of AI recommendations.
- A set of best practices and recommendations for the widespread adoption of smart farming solutions in agriculture.
By achieving these outcomes, we hope to contribute to the development of more sustainable and efficient farming practices, while also promoting the adoption of IoT and AI technologies in agriculture.
By leveraging these technologies, we can work towards a more food-secure and environmentally sustainable future, while also supporting the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities.
