This proposal seeks funding to implement a comprehensive Parent and Community Engagement Program aimed at strengthening school-family partnerships. The program will focus on enhancing communication, fostering collaboration, and empowering parents and community members to actively participate in the educational journey of their children. By building strong partnerships between schools, families, and communities, we aim to improve student outcomes, create a supportive learning environment, and promote educational equity.
Research consistently shows that parental involvement is a critical factor in student success. However, many schools, particularly those in underserved communities, face challenges in fostering meaningful engagement with parents and community members.
Barriers such as lack of awareness, language differences, limited resources, and inadequate communication hinder effective school-family partnerships. Consequently, students in these communities often experience lower academic achievement, reduced motivation, and limited access to opportunities that support their development.
