The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is seeking call for expression of Interest which aims to solicit interest from existing or prospective partners that wish to participate in a UNHCR operation and contribute complementary resources (human resources, knowledge, funds, in‐kind contributions, supplies and/or equipment) to achieving common objectives as agreed in a Project Partnership Agreement. The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. It also has a mandate to help stateless people.
Objectives-
- Access to and quality of status determination procedures improved
- Information provided to persons of concern
- Positions or interventions in judicial, quasi –judicial and administrative proceedings provided.
- Access to reception center provided
- provision of material psychological and legal assistance to persons of concern in the reception center provided
- Persons of Concern at risk identified and individually supported
Eligibility & Criteria-
- The interested NGOs registered in the country wishing to apply in reply to this Call for Expression of Interest are required to submit only a Concept Note
- The Concept Note is primarily for the partner to express its unique advantage and added value for the Project objectives.
- The Concept Note is intended to allow the partner to-
- Articulate its objectives in undertaking the Project
- Briefly describe the implementation approach for realizing the desired outcome of the Project
- Demonstrate the unique advantage it brings to the partnership for realizing the desired outcome of the Project
- Demonstrate its complementariness to UNHCR’s capacities and resources for the Project
