The Assembly of European Regions (AER) is pleased to invite all eligible participants for Most Youth-Friendly European Region Award. For this program the topic will be youth participation in democratic life at regional level. The objective of this program is to improve the integration of young people in society and to increase the number of young people in the public life of the Regions and to ensure that these people have adequate opportunities for education, training and leisure.
The competition for the most youth-friendly Region in Europe seeks to highlight the importance of youth policies, including at regional level, to improve the living conditions of young people and to encourage the creation of, or simply encourage, general social understanding for the work of young people.
Prize–
- Each participating region will receive a certificate.
- The winner will be awarded an AER Cup as well as a flag bearing the mention « Most youth-friendly European Region » combined with the indication of the current year.
Eligibility & Criteria-
The award is open to all AER member regions as well as other European regions that would be eligible to join the AER. Organizations and other bodies authorized by the regional administration can represent the region in the Award.
