Europe Aid is inviting proposals for ‘Land and Water Development Program’ 2014. The major aim of the grant program is to enhance the access to and the utilization of land and water.
The priority components of the action or project are land reclamation of non-utilized agricultural lands; rehabilitation of agriculture roads; increase water availability for agricultural purposes; and capacity development to farmers’ associations/cooperatives, to strengthening their management skills, including women’s empowerment initiatives, and improving agriculture practices. Total indicative budget of the grant program is €3,600,000 and the project must be for a duration of 24 to 28 months.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant must be from a member state of the EU (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom); or a country that is beneficiary of this regulation (Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Palestinian Authority of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Russian Federation, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine); or the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia, Serbia, including Kosovo or a member state of the EEA (Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway); or an international public sector organization, or international committee like Red Cross, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund.
- Applicant must be directly responsible for the preparation and the management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity (ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- Action proposed should be on one of the following themes – food security, rural development, human resource development, gender equality and women’s empowerment initiatives and targeted in the ‘Area C’ of the West Bank in Palestine.
