The Foundation EVZ has issued call for applications for its funding programme: Facing Antisemitism and Antigypsyism. The foundation supports the systematic and long-term examination of discrimination, marginalisation and hatred practised against Roma and Jews in Europe.
Specified Countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Ukraine
Aims of Programme
The foundation wants to:
- identify instances of promising practice and help to consolidate them or extend their coverage;
- encourage cooperation between stakeholders in the two areas, antigypsyism and antisemitism, and point up potentials for joint work in these two fields;
- promote awareness of the connections with other forms of discrimination (groupfocused enmity).
Areas of Interest
The projects should focus on:
- the targeted dissemination of existing educational materials or the expansion or transfer of tried-and-tested concepts to other contexts or countries;
- the continuation or expansion of neighbourhood and dialogue projects;
- the continuation or expansion of campaigns;
- successful interventions that combat antisemitism and antigypsyism in social media;
- putting pilot-tested measures into practice
Eligibility Criteria
- Registered non-profit organisations (NGOs, educational institutions, human rights organisations, foundations etc.) in the specified programme countries are eligible to apply for the programme.
- Organisations from other countries that are part of a transnational project are eligible for support, provided that the project is also being carried out in one of the specified programme countries and that it has an institutional cooperation partner in this country.
