CRDF Global and GRDF (Georgia Research and Development Foundation) are inviting proposals for Georgia Regional Cooperative Research Grant Program. The program will support high-quality innovative research by establishing sustainable collaboration between researchers in Georgia and the surrounding region.
In an area of mutual interest and regional importance, the program will bring the scientists from Georgia together with scientists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan.
Grant amount of the program is up to $200,000 for the duration of up to two years.
Eligibility –
- Researchers in the biological sciences who are currently legal residents of Georgia projects must be oriented toward civilian objectives and must be carried out in a civilian research environment.
- PI must possess the degree of PhD, MD, or the equivalent and work full-time in a civilian research environment.
- Georgian PI and Georgian team members must be citizens of, and reside permanently in, Georgia during the course of the grant period.
- The proposed research must advance the objectives of DTRA’s Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP).
- The proposed research must fall within the CBEP research priorities.
- The proposed project must be in an area of biological research that addresses an issue of national concern in Georgia.
