SIRCA (Strengthening ICTD Research Capacity in Asia) is the joint program of the IDRC (International Development Research Centre) and the SiRC (The Singapore Internet Research Center) that provides grants to research leaders to conduct research in Information and Communications Technology for Development (ICTD). Professionals from the NGO sector and other social science field in Asia can apply for this grant to carry out research to understand the relationships between ICTs and society. The focus of the program includes high-quality multidisciplinary research in ICT development, e-services, new media use and social impact, and policy for the benefit and advancement of individuals, organizations, nation and society. Interested individuals applying for the grant need to register themselves online before 29 September 2008 and the deadline for submission of the project proposal is 13 October 2008.
