NGO Professionals/leaders in their mid-career can apply for the ‘Atlas Corps Fellow Program for 2009-2010.’ Selected candidates will receive an overseas fellowship that includes a placement for one year in one of nonprofit organizations located in the United States and/or Columbia. Other benefits include J-1/travel visa, international travel from and to the home country, living stipend, medical insurance and also the End of Service Award of up to US $2,000 when the candidates return back to their home country after completing thier fellowship. Eligibility includes three or more years of relavant experience of working in an NGO, fluency in English (or Spanish if the placement is proposed for Columbia) and possessing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Applicants are also encouraged to take an ‘Eligibility Survey’ at this link before applying for the fellowship. Applications will be reviewed and online interviews will also be conducted with host organizations also present in the panel.
