Human rights activists, practitioners, journalists and scholars can apply for the Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowship Program which will give an opportunity for them to participate in a residential program at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), Washington DC, United States. During this residential program, the fellows will be able to undertake research and interact with their counterparts in the country to deepen their understanding of democracy. They will be able to learn new ideas, share their experiences, document lessons learned, build contacts and become a part of the global network of democracy practitioners. They will be able to learn new tools and techniques which they can apply back in their home countries for enhancing democracy and promote human rights development.
The fellowship for activists and practitions will be for a period of five months while scholars will be able to have the residential program from 5-10 months. The fellowship will cover living expenses, health insurance and international travel to and from Washington DC in addition to the office and research support provided.
