USAID in partnership with Tech Museum has the Tech Awards which is a global competitive awards program that honors people who are applying technology for the benefits of humanity in an innovative manner. It awards those individuals who have successfully used technology for the betterment of human conditions around the world. Annually, the Tech Awards are announced and nominations are sought for the competition.
For the year 2009, the nominations for Tech Awards have been requested. Nominations can be submitted through 10 April 2009. The technology application should improve the human condition in one of five award areas. The five award areas are economic development, education, environment, equality and health.
