Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zeland will be soon inviting applications for AUT Vice Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarships for April (from 1 March) and October (from 1 August) round scholarship scheme. The purpose of the AUT Vice Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarships is to encourage and stimulate doctoral studies in areas of University Research capability. Applicant with a high academic merit will be awarded the scholarship.
The Scholarships are available up to three years and each scholarship is worth in total approximately $96,000.The stipend amount is $25,000 per year along with tuition fee. Deadline for April round scholarships is 17th April 2014 while for October round scholarships is 15 November 2014. Applications will be received from 1st March and 1st August for April round and October round Scholarships respectively.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant for the April Scholarship must be either the domestic student or international student with a qualifying degree from AUT. (For October round, all the students who qualify to register for full-time study in a doctoral degree at AUT).
- Applicants must meet the normal admission criteria to the doctoral programme, including, minimally, second class (first division) honours or equivalent.
- Applicants must apply for the scholarship and also submit their application for doctoral study (if yet not applied).
