UiO:Norwegian Centre for Human Rights offers Scholarship for master students to write a thesis about China and human rights at Norway.
China Programme at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) offer 2-3 scholarships a year (probably 4000, – per month for up to 6 months) to Master’s students who wish to write a thesis about China and human rights. Stipe seeks to boost Norwegian expertise on human rights in China.China Programme at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights has since 1997 operated academic cooperation projects with the aim to promote greater knowledge of and respect for international human rights in China. The main focus of the China program, work is collaborative research and teaching in international human rights in China. In addition, the program organizes seminars, courses and briefings to enhance the knowledge of Chinese society in Norway.
Eligibility–
- Scholarship is awarded to talented MA students at Norwegian universities who want to write a thesis with a focus on China. SMR is a multidisciplinary center, and students from all academic disciplines may apply.
Priority will be given to–
- Students who, through their application / project plan shows an understanding of how human rights are related to selected themes
- 60 points tasks (often with fieldwork)
- Basic command of Chinese is an advantage.
