The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) in Cambodia have issued call for applications for Scholarship for female students to improve the quality of human rights education at academic institutions and increasing Cambodian students’ opportunities to study human rights.
The institute will provide eight scholarships for female students, who have already completed their foundation at a Cambodian university.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be female law students.
- Have completed the foundation year at a Cambodian University or hold a bachelor’s degree in another subject. Students holding a foundation year in a non-law subject will be required to take an intensive law course in September if selected.
- Have English proficiency (based on ELBBL standards – English examination).
- Have commitment to Human Rights and interested in pursuing a career in that field (as demonstrated by a one page personal statement).
- Be willing to attend regular human rights Seminars, meetings and courses in addition to the regular ELBBL classes.
- Be students from disadvantaged backgrounds will be prioritized.
